Srinagar, Jan 30 (KNO): The government is mulling to frame guidelines for introduction of new subjects in higher secondary schools with the provisions of National Education Policy 2020. In this regard the government had constituted a committee for rationalisation and introduction of new subjects in higher secondary schools. The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that the Administrative Secretary to government for School Education Department, B K Singh has constituted a committee for framing the guidelines for rationalization and introduction of subjects in the Government Schools of UT of Jammu and Kashmir. In an order, Singh said that the terms of reference of the committee shall be to frame guidelines for introduction of subjects in light of the provisions of National Education Policy 2020. “Examine rationalization of subjects already introduced in Government Schools of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. Singh also directed the department to come up with a proposal for introduction of subjects in the Government Schools of Jammu and Kashmir UT. He said that the committee shall submit a report within 15 days. The committee compromise of Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) who will act as a Chairman, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) as member, Project Director, Samagra Shiksha as Member Secretary, Principal Higher Secondary School, Kud, and District Udhampur as Member, Principal Higher Secondary School, Rajpora, Samba as Member and Principal S.P. Higher Secondary School Srinagar as Member—(KNO)
